About
Hello, I’m Ulrike Tillmanns.
I have spent almost 40 years designing and working with patterns. I’ve made hundreds of quilts, bags, fun soft toys and occasionally clothes. I have taught almost every aspect of textile work from Temari balls to rope baskets and have recently begun weaving my own material. I have exhibited a variety of creations including even a textile garden bench at the National Exhibition Centre.
Recently, advances in digital printing have made smaller production runs of fabrics an economic reality, enabling me to offer some of my fabrics for sale through companies like Spoonflower and Woven Monkey. It also means also means customers can buy a range of items featuring my designs including bags, luggage and clothing through my shop on Contrado.
As a quilter myself, I also know how fabrics can be designed to really help the quilter. So I offer some unique creations which allow the material to be cut ensuring complete pattern sections are contained within typical tile sizes, rather than cut-through fragments of the pattern.
Most of all, I love designing and creating fabrics, so if you desire something unique, I would really like to hear from you so we can discuss ways in which we can work together.
